Integrating Text to Speech Throughout

Hello again! It's Maia coming in with yet another software blog! Wow! Just when you thought I wasn't going to throw any more of my thoughts at you. Haha, sorry not at all sorry. Anywho, this one is about the fact that our printer can talk to you. Yes, you! (And anyone else who tried to use it with the sound on). It wasn't too bad to implement, we found a really nice software library and plugged in a speaker, then introduced it throughout the code. Basically, at every point that the user would use the interface or the printer needs a next step from the user, if the sound is on, the printer will tell you whats up. How kind is that! I had a blast finding a voice that was easy to understand, and played a lot with accents and speaking rates. But we happened upon a voice that was quite nice (at least in my opinion)!
