IT'S ALIVE!

So, update on whether or not Pick and Place is working: it’s not. But, despite that, I managed to populate our PCB within 5 hours! Woohoo! And isn’t it a beaut?

Basically, populating a PCB is like assembling a jigsaw puzzle. You have to match up the pieces to their footprints as you had planned them out when designing the board. The components are adhered to the board using solder paste. The board then gets heated, hardening the paste. It took a steady hand and several hours, but the end result was a very nice-looking board! Colin then went and tested the board - it worked!
